DO matching? I assume research fellowship like the Carribean grads discussed above?|I don't think it's fair that a DO matched. Don't they have their own residency? Maybe when the merger happens, fine. The DO is taking away a spot from a well qualified MD grad |what makes u think that person isnt qualified. no pubs though but still dont assume anything. just like i wont assume that you are an idiot for thinking this| He might be the best applicant ever- that is not the point. There are DO Derm residencies for DO's ONLY! that are exclusive for them-MD's can't apply). Why should he or anyone else take a spot over MD's? If there are no other MD's left to fill the position- be my guest. This is a matter of principle
Hasn't the merger already happened?| Hasn't happened yet| The Derm match process is such a sham. I really feel for those strong applicants who get locked out of a spot by shady business x4| there is a DO resident at Mayo|Ok...still is not right. And it has nothing to do with any "superiority" complex of MD's
I agree. Was just pointing out another incidence of the BS |Where did they match?
One was at UMass
Why would a DO grad need a derm fellowship? There are AOA-approved Derm residencies.
