Posting on behalf of a Johns Hopkins research team: The purpose of this study is to gather the perspectives of current medical students regarding the change of USMLE Step 1 scoring from a 3-digit numerical score to pass/fail, which will be in effect as of January 2022. The 5-minute survey aims to assess how students will modify behaviors and preferences in pursuit of strong residency applications. All current medical students are encouraged to participate. All information you provide will be treated confidentially and will not impact your residency applications.
