for people who are going to yale interviews, which airports are you flying into/how are you getting to new haven?
not sure this is best, but EWR + train
EWR then renting a car
are you all flying out the same day the interview's over?
worst part about living in new haven is the lack of airport access tbh
yeah i didn't realize this until now actually
as someone in CT, BDL in hartford is ok, smaller airport, soo slightly more expensive JFK is 1.5-2hrs from new haven, BOS 2-3 hrs. there is also a small new haven airport staffed by Avelo airlines
it was soo miserable as a broke college student with no car. HVN tickets are crazy expensive and you always need to connect through Philly. BDL tix are also pricey, and the only way to get there is by driving. LGA/JFK/EWR are 2hr+ commutes by train and public transportation.
coming from the west coast there are also no direct/great flights from where I am to BDL, ends up taking the same time to fly into EWR/JFK and drive/uber
I'm jealous y'all got Yale but am not sad about not living in new haven lol. basically like the hopkins discourse above
POOP
