thoughts on doing an away at brown? seems like this year they didn't interview a lot of away rotators, is this usual or is this year different?
try to be honest with yourself about how well you do in a social setting! if you are a hard worker and pleasant to be around it will go a long way
agree with this - I'm very glad I rotated at Brown this year
I had a great experience rotating at Brown and learned a lot, but did not receive an interview. Even if you have the stats + did well on the rotation you are not guaranteed an interview. If I could go back in time, I'd probably choose a place with better odds of getting an interview like Emory.
> how do you impress on aways?
personally I think it ends up being 80% personality and 20% knowledge/technical skills, if you click with people and are pleasant to be around that goes a long way

usual, it's known that they only interview ~1/2 of their aways, you'll just have to weigh how strongly you want to match there/how strong of an applicant you think you are and how likely you are to impress with those odds
