For this 7min presentation at Northwell that gives you the opportunity to present anything you like - what's the strategy here? Go safe like present research or go all out and do something outside the box O.O. Will the presentation give me opportunity to hurt me more than help me? Am I overthinking this??

no one cares about your research give them an interesting presentation about who you are as a person and what you bring to the table
but I've seen certain "about me" presentations that become very self-indulgent to the point of cringe. I've seen people talk about their cat like that was going to change the minds of the admissions committee.
