Look at how they forced out the first Hispanic female general surgery chair for retaliation after she whistleblew on poor outcomes from on of the colleagues in her department (https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/education/article272278143.html ) (Lawsuit link: https://profiles.foxchase.org/en/clippings/renowned-surgeon-and-first-latinahispanic-female-chair-of-surgery/ ) . UMiami Dermatology has not had any overt scandals like this but it is by no means a warm culture, the majority of residents that graduate from this cohort are major frenemey vibes and anyone that has experienced the residents will realize the training is SUBPAR and extremely overrated. This is a good residency program for optics, clout, and to be in a fun city (e.g Miami) but it is by NO MEANS a cush program, a good working enviorment program, or a program that will actually make you a more competent physician compared to others.
