Wait...what happened at UTMB they only took 1 home student despite increasing in size 2 spots? Did they not have many internals this year?
a lot of places didn't take home this year it seems? Hopkins also only took 1, but I guess everyone else matched because they're hopkins..
but this is misleading because we don't know how each applicant ranked their home program. I ranked mine like #3 and ended up matching at #1 so

Not sure what happened this year but only 1 applicant from UTMB ended up matching derm and they matched at home. Honestly it was shocking as most years they match at least 4-5 applicants
Can confirm most Hopkins students did not want to stay lol. Hopkins will usually take a good number of internals
Most/all hopkins students ranked other programs more highly and hence matched there instead of their home.> why is that?? is it not a good program??
people are tired and want something new, true for most programs
a lot of people also don't love living in baltimore unless they have ties to the area.
