well dang-also at a top 10 program..OP you sure their programs aren't encouraging this? i remember being told during prelim year to post on instagram.. ^I think I know the program. iykyk.
< What programs do you think are encouraging their residents to become influencers? from what ive seen its short video clips of getting ready, showing off makeup or hair, and other kind of vain videos
"hilarious that derm residents at "bottom-tier" programs exist as humans and have lives outside of medicine" like what? All derm programs have a few of these.

All derm programs have a few of these. < I think it is strange when almost all of the residents at a program are the cringe influencer type. Larkins for example Agree. I think 1-2 influencers or social media people is fun, but when it's an entire class or half the program it feels off.

i swear every resident at larkin is on tikTok and its soo cringe Yea they have a rep as being like really really bad. Like bad attendings, subpar training, paying less than 50k, etc. Theres a link lower down of someone calling them out on IG.

Define bottom of the barrel? Pretty sure all derm residents that match are statistically amazing applicants? You end up where you end up. I say this as someone at a "top 10" program

seems like med students care more about this than actual residents, as someone whos a current resident
that IG video doesnt apply to their derm program tbh
Larkin, sorry not sorry. Derm residency is hard and a lot of work, like how do you have hours and hours to make videos as a first year? This is why other fields often don't take us seriously
plus people have straight up bought spots in the program outside of the match in the past
