probably not the right place to post this but dealing with an unsupportive partner who doesn't get it fuckin sucks ugh... keeps asking why don't you just go to X location which is convenient for them and X is one of the most competitive programs in the country. also says will break up if things don't work out with the match... so many years sunk into this relationship
sunk cost is real I feel for you OP! But also would encourage you to think about if this is a one time thing or if they might be unsupportive with big stressful things in the future too
... I feel like life is only going to get harder with more tough conversations to be had (child-rerearing if you're thinking baout having kids, where to live, etc.) and if your partner is nagging you over things you can't necessarily control... what will they do about things they think you can?
