One of my friends said that a girl from A&M was robbed at gunpoint at the Texas Med Center, the evening before her prelim interview. Is it that unsafe?
Any big city is going to be dangerous, Houston is no exception. I wouldn't worry about it, but if you're really worried about safety there are many programs in safe areas (Dartmouth, Geisinger, Vermont etc)

Does Cleveland Clinic pay for a hotel? I could’ve sworn I heard that they did but the email didn’t say so.
Which Derm programs offer free hotel? Henry Ford, Mayo-Rochester, Mayo-AZ... others? Penn State, I'm there this week.
