Really surprised that University of Missouri-Kansas City's derm program (new one that entered the match this year), didn't take any home students.

Fame & Shame
2025–2026 Derm
1 entry✅1. Incredibly well-prepared for its first cycle. Attendings were amazing, rest of staff were amazing, genuinely invested in mentoring students. Rotators got opportunities to get exposure in all aspects of dermatology. Work at a safety-net hospital, so great for those who want to work with an underserved population and not just bread-and-butter derm. Plenty of research options for those interested too.
Can someone give me some thoughts and persepctive on Mizzou vs Kansas
Unlike Mizzou, Kansas mostly takes Mizzou people. If you are a Mizzou, you should rank Kansas over Mizzou
is kansas a better program than mizzou?
Why does nobody ever give a real answer about Kansas?
Mizzou and Kansas seem to have similar vibes, but Kansas City is a better location
Thoughts on UMKC?
Ranking it higher because St. Louis >>> Columbia, MO
it's in kansas city not STL
Thoughts on the KUMC interview today?> Actually really enjoyed it, if anything they moved up my list! I thought they were all super nice, questions were fair, also peds exposure is really fantastic
Folks interviewing for Kansas tomorrow, it looks like on the scheudle we launch right into a first interview and there is no welcome session? Is that becasue tonight and the social serve as that or did I miss a link for a general room tomorrow before the actual interviews? Thanks in advance
How was the U kansas interviews last week?
also wondering what the vibes are at this program
which residency website (frieda, texas star, residency explorer) shows gold to interview conversion %? also why are so many ppl gold signal kansas?
you can see the conversion on residency explorer, idk what's going on w/ Kansas since most of their interviews last year gave silver signals
Hey ya'll we have most of the spreadsheet filled out now (a separate copy exists despite someone sabotaging and deleting). We are still missing matches for: Kansas (KS), Vanderbilt (TN), Temple (PA), MCG (GA), St. Lukes (PA), HCA Corpus Christi (TX), HealthPartners (MN), Mayo Clinic (Jacksonville) (FL), EVMS (VA), Marshfield Clinic (WI), DCC-Flint (MI), LSU - New Orleans (LA).

I think their students match well though so could just be they wanted to go elsewhere but you're right
