Anyone understand the Utah pre-interview phone call purpose? I had one that I thought went very well, and had reasons for explaining my interest in program & location, but didn't receive an invite x2

I never even got a phone call, but received an interview... so I have no clue what the point of the calls was... I feel kinda left out lol

I don't know either. I think my call went reasonably well, but I found the whole thing sort of offputting. It decreased my interest in the program.
