What usually happens in this "limbo"? Do people eventually get an invite or a rejection? Currently in SUNY Stony Brook and Miami limbo (I don't believe Miami limbo exists tbh)
yea, but I mean if it is known that the school sent out a rejection, does that mean you're not good enough for a rejection or stuck in weird purgatory
Purgatory - I assume those programs will invite or more likely reject us at some point down the road.
As this is my second time applying, basically rejections are a courtesy and if an invite has been sent out and you didn't get one you can pretty much assume you won't/it's a rejection by omission.
<-- not necessarily true. I myself got invites at 2 programs that had already released a round of invites. Doesn't mean you're rejected if you dont' hear, depends on the program and how they release invites. x2
Not all schools send out rejections, so for some it's limbo forever
