There's like no way I'm going to have 8-9 interviews (average from last year) at this point. I just don't understand this process.
You realize statistically, 1 interview means like a 25% chance of matching right?
There are still 39 derm (and 2 med-derm) programs who have yet to send out invitations. Hang in there!
There's only 1 med-derm program (Penn) that hasn't sent out invites. The other 4 have already.
what about that blue-colored arizona program at the bottom?
That's not a med-derm program lol not sure why it's blue
Hey, mods. Can we fix that please?
Also, based on the number of swap requests listed here (which I'm sure is just a small proportion of all conflicts), there might be more invites coming from programs soon, even if they've already sent out their primary wave.
This is so true. If you look at the 2015-2016 spreadsheet you will see that people received many more interviews than they actually went on in many cases. I'd expect the same to occur this year as well.
Honestly, quit thinking you need to get to 8 or 9. There are people every year who match with much less than that. At every interview you go to (even if it's just 1), just fucking kill it there. it's cliche to say, but you only need that one interview to match.
