Nope. Neither I or any of my classmates have. Someone mentioned something about UPMC having a change in leadership that caused a delay (look for it in chitchat archives).

I grew up in Pittsburgh and have gotten some other more "competitive" TY interviews... AND I wrote UPMC a LOI. Have heard nothing, not even a reponse to my email.

I don't know if there's any truth do this, but my friend at UPMC told me that pretty much all the spots this year have already been guaranteed to their med students

thats kinda messed up but not surprising. if you look on their website, most of the prelim/ty residents are from pitt

Even so, they need to interview more people. What if their med students rank other places #1?

I think they basically take their own for prelim, but if you look at their current TYs, 3/9 came from other schools. Unless they changed their policy for this year of course. This is so strange. Also I haven't heard ANYONE (including pitt med students) say they have gotten an interview.

wtf is taking them so long? It's already November.

Two of my UPMC friends got internal interviews for prelim in early October.
