Good morning everyone! Will interview invites be released 11/6/19? Yes: 5 No: 11 Programs: Mount Sinai, University of Miami, Cornell, Vanderbilt, Hopkins, Penn Actual: 0 As of 12:00PM today: 63% of programs have not sent out interviews and a sum total of ~171 derm spots have been offered interviews. What does this discrepency between the % of programs that have not been released and the large amount of spots that have not been offered interviews? That the 63% of interviews that have not been released encompasses the larger programs that have more spots and many that have already sent out interviews are smaller and more "regional". What's the point? IT IS EARLY and the overwhelming majority of spots have not been offered interviews yet AND even the ones that have been offered may not have offered for all their spots. On this equvelant day (i.e. first Wednesday of the month) in last years application cycle: 1 interview went out (George Washington University, which came out yesterday for us). Love, SD
Penn's website says by 11/25
<Hopkins and penn - both of these places so far out of my reach it doesn't affect me << Try not to feel this way. I was on 0 for a long time and got 2 interviews at top 10 programs. My app is so regular that I assumed it was a mistake. The point is, you never know and no program is a reach.
<haha, Mt. Sinai practically sends after Christmas, but I like the wishful thinking!
12/6 in 2017, but yes, probs too early.
Johns Hopkins and Penn are both overdue for interview invites this year. Hopefully, Vanderbilt sends its regular ones out today << Mayo AZ is also pretty overdue << Also, to the neurotics among us, just know that Penn, Vanderbilt, and Johns Hopkins have historically sent out their invitations in batches
