PSA: a few things. A gray box means someone is typing in it, so be careful about editing it as well or it can sometimes delete. Accidental deletes also happen when new rows are made and you're editing in an existing. If you delete someone's cell by accident, CTRL+Z is your friend x2

Also, if you make a new row, it will copy the color of the one below it. So to help decrease everyone's anxiety, just quickly change the color from green to white. You can also prepare your response in notepad/word/email/whatever, and copy and paste in
