there's 2 kinds of applicants ... people who are excited for this, and the rest of us lol
top tier med school applicants debating over which top program is best vs the rest of us just trying to match anywhere. they don't know our struggles lol (or top tier medical student who is also in the same struggle since all my classmates have all the interviews) << this is such a myth, at my school we're sharing a lot of them

that I'm hot trash and my general stats are just mediocre and this field is extremely competitive -- I did a research year that i thought was fairly strong but it apparently is insignificant in the scheme of things
