I think you will have to feel it out, but pretty sure it is good. In the top ~5 I don't think any programs is known to have a particularly bad culture.

No idea what that person is talking about (edit: they were joking. I'll leave what I typed). Culture at Penn is great. Residents are really happy and faculty are as well. I think the number of hospitals and amount of complex med-derm means that residents work a little more than average (for derm lol) but I've been very impressed with how they maintain that family/community vibe despite the appartent reputation as just a machinistic academic powerhouse. Mentorship is also second-to-none. Lots of opportunity to tailor things to whatever you want to do.
