I think that one of the dissonant aspects of the application process was being told that i had to be ready to respond right away to an interview invite, and then waiting every day next to my phone/computer for a call/email that never came (or excitedly opening up a rare email, only to find a rejection)
< Lol, I got an apple watch. While I was driving, it went off with an invitation from one of my top programs. I quickly drove into a nearby parking lot. Two disasters averted: (1) I didn't get into a car accident, and (2) I didn't not get the date that I wanted. Thanks, Tim Apple! Also, I've been using the watch to motivate myself to exercise in the janky hotel gyms during the interviews. None of that interview season weight gain for me, thanks.
Freeway on-ramp was the wildest place I've gotten an interview invite. Thankfully it was rush hour traffic so I was able to interview broker that shit before getting on the freeway.
ditto, but also being guilted into buying an apple watch only to find that it's utterly useless for noreply@aamc.org emails with 219839839 word subject headings
