Anyone know anything about Sinai...know anyone who did their residency there and their thoughts? QoL, faculty, etc < M3? < yeah any medical students who can comment < you not gonna match there unless you're a home student or research fellow < that really sucks. they are selling themselves as totally trying to change everything with the new chair. < how many of the resident's you talked to weren't home grown? < definitely very few. wonder if the new chair will actually change anything, we will see soon enough < rank it high if you loved it and see what happens. no harm in trying < why do programs like this even bother to interview anyone, waste of time on both sides < i think they have a specific culture and want residents who fit that. my friend's sister went to med school at sinai and is now in derm elsewhere. she said it's a workhouse program and the students who stay to become residents know exactly what they're getting into. that's all i know about the program. seems like good training though.< thank you SO MUCH!!! super appreciate it <3 the insider perspective is so valuable when all these programs are so good at selling themselves < They also require their medical students to do a fellowship or they won't write letters of rec for them, which is kinda shitty. They have a lot of spots, so even if half go to internal candidates, that still leaves more open spots than most programs. She said that they take the fellows they like, but don’t take all the fellows. Also, Saudi spot isn’t a thing anymore and sinai students all get LORs < restored and protected the cell cause some asshole deleted it
