i get that people hate affirmative action but what is the actual solution? because it definitely is not this group is overrepresented, let's keep that going. if a specialty doesn't have women, it needs to work to improve that or vice versa etc. so how do we make this more equitable that doesn't annoy people because this group is 4x overrepresented and that is okay is just not realistic. < maybe make specialized tracks (like Penn) that way ppl won't directly compete against each other < as a urm, i actually really hate the tracks so much so that i didnt apply for any. they didnt need tracks when they were taking other groups to the point of overrepresentation. i don't want to be the diversity track resident. take me in your main track or forget it
