Confession time. I ranked Harvard near the bottom of my list because it's not possible to support a family on their salary in Boston. This is a HUGE problem. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to afford a 2bed apartment as a DOCTOR in these cities. Harvard would have been a dream, but it just didn't make sense for us < I ranked all my Boston programs low for the exact same reason and I don't even have a family to support. Such a joke that they don't provide a stipend, other places with high COL (NYC, LA, SF) at least give you a housing stipend or subsidized housing. < Harvard gives 10k/year stipend for those who qualify < All residents should qualify, Harvard/MGH have enough money.
