Do we think derm applicants as a whole are intellectually curious about certain things down to spreadsheet tropes and why things are the way they are? I remember seeing several years back some controversy about UMiami’s presentation to applicants with graphics portraying department revenue and how it did not appear to be a good “vibe” along with several other subsequent generalizations and my first thought - if the post wasn’t itself a plant by an insider to see how the spreadsheet would react to that presentation - isn’t this coming off as the program trying to play off concerns about losing funding. Wasn’t there a prominent attending who was from that program many years ago (discussed ad nauseam on other online forums) who was notorious in derm-world for a power-play involving money that led to the dissolution of another different derm residency program and thus wouldn’t this move on the program’s part be their way of reassuring applicants to not worry about that being a problem? <<< I have no clue what exactly you're saying or what your point is.
