is it even good to work with someone like april armstorng? like she had 8 students a year, hard to know each student on one to one basis < depends on what you are looking for from your research year and your personality<i highly doubt she doesnt know her students one on one enough to write them strong letters of rec by the time they apply< I heard she may be leaving USC fwiw<so she's going to be a chair somewhere? thats the only step up from her current position. so basically it could become even more valuable to work with her
