Curious what people think about whether derm is visa-friendly for applicants from US med schools? << It depends on the particular visa that you would need (H-1B, J-1, etc.), but as long as you're a graduate of an American medical school, preferably an allopathic medical school, you should be fine. I would check out different derm residency websites to see what their policy is as it's very much an individual program thing. I know places like Case Western Reserve's medical school take some Canadian students, so this question is more common than one might think. < Stanford matched an international med student from Brown this year, I would imagine there are a few others at other programs too!

J-1 visa is easier than H-1B but some programs offer H-1B too, I would email the program coordinators
