The problem really isn't URM vs ORM. The real diversity issue is social class. < I agree with this but I do think if an URM and an ORM are both the same social class the URM still has so many extra barriers to climbing the socioeconomic ladder. So not sure socioecomoic class in isolation is better than race in isolation < they are not ready for this conversation < Derm doesn't care about socioeconomic class. The URM/DEI/SOC faction want you to go by race/skin color. Plan accordingly when it comes to rotations.

both things can be true. we can advocate for medicine to be more accessible to student from low ses families. while also advocating that asians not make be 22% of derm when they are 6% of the population when black and brown people combined make up less than 7%. < 67% of med students don't have college debt. Lol, overall I agree that people without money have huge barriers into this career. < Asians being in Dermatology is not the problem. Stop picking on them. I say that as a URM. < real issues are teh asians and southeast asians trying to invite URMs and non URMs to the parties but because of societal trust issues we're not having parties anymore these days

Yeah people on twitter asking for free stuff when they clearly are more well off than most people was over the top. The access to medicine is a big problem and people who grew up well off are not running to go practice outside of urban areas. < lololol < well, med grad list is not based on income. it is for urm students in general, rich or poor. < that's why it's sleazy < to you and people like you. < Yes, to people who actually have a conscience. You're exempt.

How are people factoring in warning/probation status into the rank list? Carrying on as if it didn't exist? > I am also curious about this? How big of a deal are warnings? < Very rarely is a Dermatology residency program actually closed down (i.e. Roger Williams, University of Buffalo, etc.). The probation is eventually lifted. I wouldn't allow that alone to influence your ranking of a program. Go by fit. At the most, rank the program lower, but don't "not rank" it.

Does anyone know much about Brown's prelim IM program? Can we rank it on its own? Do they ever convert prelims to categorical or is it too small?

anyone know if UPMC prelim IM lets you convert to categorical? How about UC Irvine? < also Yale and Brown prelim IM pls help < yale only has one true prelim spot that they usually reserve for an advanced person so idk if its relevant but i have heard brown has in the past. < interesting ok thanks

weird to include med school in zoom name? < i have noticed that it is fine for everyone else except students at T20s lol < meaning OK to include school name if school is below T20 med schools? <- just include it. if you went to harvard or stanford we get youre hot stuff. no one is going to be impressed if you went to dartmouth brown or cornell lol. < lol yeah.. I'm like ~T20 school but thought it would just help identify me as "person from ***" < anything but your name is weird
