For those of you who received BUMC (TX) IM-Prelim II's, do you know how many spots were available/how far out interview dates went? Also was this your home state/home program?

Does anyone know why Baylor University Medical Center (Dallas) didn't accept applications this year ("Our apologies for the inconvenience but we are not accepting applications for the 2021/2022 season.")? < program chair retired, all of the residents transferred out. They are most likely reopening the program in 2 years or so after they revamp it < Ah ok. Thank you! It was a little weird, bc they say they take 2 residents a year, but they only have one PGY-2 listed. Kinda felt sorry for her and just thought she was like the only resident in the entire program or something.

Just confirming that BMC has gotten rid of the rule requiring you to stay on as junior faculty after residency. can any home students and/or away rotators confirm? < it is strongly encouraged that all residents do it. but not REQUIRED per say. need for good rec letters. < they strongly encourage residents to stay on as junior faculty? wtf << OP here: I asked the program coordinator and that requirement ended 2 years ago < I understand that it's no longer required, but is it still "strongly encouraged" to stay on BUMC's Derm faculty for x number of years? <yes
