thoughts on University of Nebraska (UNMC) research years??
how do i decide between a highly ranked place vs a place with good vibes i.e nyu vs nebraska < i think it comes down to whether you want to live in nebraska, are interested in being a resident at a new program, or whether you would be in nyc and if you value the "prestige" of being at nyu. the vibes are fantastic at nebraska and i think it is gearing up to be a top program in the next few years...but nyu is nyu. i didn't interview at nyu but i would be ecstatic to train at nebraska despite the location < you really have to know yourself. i know myself, don't care for prestige so its nebraska for me but my best friend on this same trail cares more about that so it is nyu for her. so it really depends on who you are < Nebraska is a vibrant program due to the new and relatively younger faculty they have: Wysong (who is very active in APD), Arthur, Sulewski, Adams, Sutton, etc. I think it really comes down to what you value though and I don't think there is a wrong answer between NYU vs. University of Nebraska.
Which programs exceeded your expectations after the interview (NU, for me)? < LOVED nebraska but I knew I would since going to their first meet & greets when the program started. < Guys, NW is super malignant. The research fellows there can vouch for this!
STOP TELLING PEOPLE HOW TO RANK PROGRAMS. Some people love Stanford and some people love Nebraska. Let them pick their training and stfu
nebraska swag hitting me right in the feels. awwww!
Did anyone just get a "UNMC Dermatology: 2021 Year In Review" email and think it was a nebraska invite? RIP

any suggestions for research years that are still open (have not yet completed PGY1 year)?? they all seem to be full >I think UNMC (Nebraska) research year is still open > thats for PGY2 though, have to have completed an intern year :(
Anyone interviewed for reserved physician position at Nebraska? I wasn't sure if this position was recently added.
