how many is vcu interviewing this year?
very small amount since very small program
I think they just have 3 half days but not sure how many per half day, they're later this week
Richmond, VA
Sentiment score: 4.2 / 10
Applicants discuss VCU's interview logistics, timeline, and requirements (including a 4-minute presentation and 4 letters of recommendation), with frequent questions about interview scheduling and program details. The program receives a notable number of rejections and waitlists, with some applicants characterizing it as a lower-tier dermatology program. Overall sentiment reflects typical residency application cycle concerns rather than strong enthusiasm or criticism.

Schools that make you do a presentation during interview day (feel free to add on): Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Utah, Loma Linda, Northwell, Florida, VCU, Stony Brook makes you send them a 1 minute presentation,
< the idea of doing a presentation on top of the interview day is such a huge turn off to me. Why add more work to an already stressful day.
stony brook is a 1 min video prior to interview day
I'm so stressed for mine
would hate a presentation. feels like they could assess similar things through interview convos and pls don't make me dance for you (although if i had to I would do it with a smile on my face don't get me wrong)
> Honestly I'd be happy with being able to do a presentation. Assuming the program doesn't require you to cover any specific subjects/topics, it really allows you to shine and talk about what you're passionate about. It lets candidates shine beyond their stats or # of research pubs, just as the interview does. I'm all for more of these non-stat driven opportunities to shine throughout the selection process

VCU is open
Does anyone know when VCU or UT Houston are able to be scheduled today?
has anybody been able to sign up for VCU?
no
Heard somewhere that VCU was sending rejections? Is a lack of rejection a red, green, or neutral flag?
in same scenario with EVMS
maybe wait-list? I got rejection letter
bummer, what time did you get it? - rejected at 12:24, better than reject, hopefully you can get one!

VCU is going to be the next to drop (I'm calling it)
insider trading
ya wrong
anyone know when VCU released last year?
Any tea on VCU as a program?
what is giong on with vcu and who matched there this year?
Anyone know who matched out at MUSC? < Or Kaiser? OR VCU? Or Indiana or MCG?
Is VCU releasing today or 12/5?
Thoughts on VCU's program?
How is VCU's derm program? // It's a relatively weaker Derm residency program (which is weird as they are a full department not just a division) and they take about 2 a year. It used to be Nunley running things for the longest time (w/everyone else being Associate or Assistant professor). But Derm is Derm.
Someone please drop VCU interview :)
