Applicants discuss Virginia Tech Carilion's dermatology program logistics, including interview timeline, rejection notifications, and NRMP participation status. There is confusion about the program's administrative processes and recent accreditation concerns, with limited discussion of program reputation or quality.

I found that a school requires a "specialty-specific standardized letter(s) of evaluation". If this is not offered by my school, should I not apply?> Which schools?
< no idea on reputation, but I think they're interviewing like 20-25?

Will derm interview invites be offered on Thursday 11/7/19 following a silent Wednesday (1 derm rejection)? Yes: 2 No: 0 Programs: WashU (regular), Stanford, Minnesota Actual: Recap of Wednesday 11/6/19 Invites: 0 Rejections: 1 (U of Rochester) TY/Prelim released today (2): U Pitt (Prelim and TY), Brockton (TY) Derm interviews released since Monday (12 first time offers, 1 research track, 1 second wave): U New Mexico, U Arkansas, Oklahoma, Eastern Virginia, Howard, NYU, Mississippi, Medical College of Wisconsin, Georgetown, Wash U (Research), Henry Ford, George Washington, St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and Cooper (2nd wave) TY/Prelim released this week: UVA (Prelim), U Pitt (Prelim and TY) and Brockton (TY) As of 8:40 EST: 63% of derm programs have not sent out interviews and a sum total of ~171/447 (38%) derm spots have been offered interviews. What's the point? IT IS EARLY and the overwhelming majority of spots have not been offered interviews yet AND even the ones that have been offered may not have offered for all their spots. On this equivalent day (i.e. first Wednesday of the month) last year: 1 interview went out (George Washington University, which came out yesterday for us). On tomorrow’s equivalent day (i.e. first Thursday of November) last years: 6 derm interviews went out and 1 med/derm interview! (Wayne State, U Minnesota, Dartmouth, Columbia, Virginia Tech, Southern Illinois and Washington MedDerm) Looking ahead: This week last year was a busy week for interviews with 16 being released in total! Goodnight everyone! -SD
<< This is a long post with some relevant data in addition to your predictions. Hope you all find this useful and have a goodnight! -SD << You're #1 in my heart. Thanks SD <3 x7 <<< SheetDaddy fan here, but I think if the posts were smaller, more morsels/highlights, like the first program prediction/tally template - we'd probably get most people on board. On mobile a post like this to the left takes up entire screen

<-- Download the "Calm" App. << why? << because this is neurotic! << Chill out bro, don't read it if you don't like it instead of being negative. Maybe you should spend your time using the "calm" app instead of being up everyones ass x6 << this actually is pretty neurotic, and I don't think saying something is neurotic should invite such a volatile response. Like damn this whole SD shit is becoming cult-like and stupid.
