Any idea what's up with UTSW rejections? Curious what it means if you haven't heard anything so far < did they reject many, seems small compared to MCW/UNC

How do you all rank the Which are your favorite/sleeper programs releasing tomorrow (WashU,Pitt, Wisc, Duke, UIC,UCDavis, UNC, MCW, OSU, Oklahoma, etc)? < can you pls stop this is so unnecessary lol and only adds to weird stress/competitiveness/toxicity that's been festering in this sheet over the last week

Who T absolute F keeps deleting the conversation about Miami actively working against the future of our profession by creating an 'Advanced Practice Provider' Training program? This is the second time this topic has been brought up and deleted without explanation. Because of this, I'll make sure to relay this information aggressively on next year's thread for the next round of applicants. Oh yeah, and MCW and Case Western also have these programs in place.

< Somebody protect this cell< please! what is happening is an insult to our profession, our hard work and years of dedication and most importantly to patients, we need to unite as young physicians and put a stop to this nonsense! > honestly this is happening to most medicine specialities, think of anesthesia and CNA, not that its right but its happening all over

but it's ridiculous that derms are opening these things > I think they likely have no choice, its based on the institution and them finding ways to cut costs and dermatoligists having no choice but to train them. You would never see this in a private practice. Its like PA's and NP, now in some states NP's can practice medicine without any supervision of a physician. Its unfortunately how medicine overall is changing and physicians are always being punished. Physician salary is only 10% the cost of healthcare but of course we get blamed for everything.

Does anybody know of organizations that physicians can join to combat these issues? Or petitions to sign? > I think it can only be done via policy change via laws however that would take place in DC and phyicians having an MPH and knowing how and why this is done in the first place. You cant stop people from doing these things unless its made into law. A lot of issues in medicine and with physicians can be solved this way but someone has to be willing to devote their life to policy chage and there are far too little physicians willing to do this or are unable to.
