What anonymous posters said
Anonymous posters frequently described difficulty getting interview confirmations, links, or scheduling responses from the program coordinator. Several posts noted confusion or frustration over the program's very small resident class size, with some feeling repeated invites diluted their chances, while other commenters pushed back and called it a solid program. A couple of posts also mentioned nearby housing, suggesting certain areas as safer options close to campus.

Is there a reason that Cooper Derm with Rowan only has 4 residents on their webpage? I think they take 2 residents per year and so they're missing a resident year. < pretty sure they usually take 1 res per year (like 1 is the norm)< during their meet and greet this year they are taking only 1 < they always have 2 classes of 1 resident and 1 class of 2, so total is always 4 residents
Has anyone gotten interview confirmation from cooper?? I havent heard back from PC with links and such
Cooper trickle
Has anyone gotten a confirmation email from Cooper yet?
Cooper IIx4
Is there a new required supplement sent out by Cooper? saw somewhere below that the deadline is tmrw? but I remember this was due during application, and added to the ERAS PS??
edit match sheet : Lehigh has 2 spots. Also add Cooper in PA; Columbia has 4 spots and NYU has 8
SIU has 3 as of last year
PD at Loyola said there's 4 spots this year
Absolutely. While reviewing applications, the residents and faculty note applicants they WANT to interview and then there are the so so applicants they still give the interview just in case/ curtosey/ etc. During the interview, I find it obvious the way the residents and such interact with the stellars that looked great on paper during the interview. As long as they aren't straight weirddo, I assume they will be ranking them highly. There is always that rare case of someone that is a weirdo and will drop down that list if that are just plain weird or doesnt seem like a fit
<Like the way residents interact with them during the downtime? That seems unlikely.
Very unlikely. Most residents don't know your application. If they are an interviewing resident, they probably have a limited application and don't know your scores.< It variues by program (some were blinded, others had scores/stats in front of them). However, at most programs there is no official rank list pre-interview that interviewers know about since they don't all meet together to make this list. They may each have their individual rank list generally based on their own interests and how it overlaps with the applicants they read about to prepare for the interviews but honestly there were plenty of interviewers who knew very little about me at both top and mid tier programs. Also, a lot of programs use a scoring system during interviews which is what makes their initial rank list which serves as a starting point during the rank meetings
< thought columbia was 5? <yes my mistake it's 5!
I can confirm a few residents and faculty that interviewed me were aware of my scores
<< thanks, will update
Cooper x 1
Why is Cooper still giving interviews? They have one position. It kinda waters down the interview invite that I got .
regardless of your invite, they will fill up all the spots they have for interviews. I doubt they are creating new interview spots, just filling the existing ones. CONGRATS!
<get over yourself. x2 Congrats to whoever got an offer. Cooper is a solid program
not saying it’s not solid but why are they interviewing so many people for 1 spot. It’s not fair to applicants.
according to this sheet theyve offered only 4 interviews... << they are obviously trickling out a few each time (not a bad strategy imo, and people freaking out)
< lmao how is interviewing as many people they want not fair? We can apply to as many places as we want and nobody stops us.. why cant programs do the same with interviewing x 2
Because we PAY hundreds of dollars to go to these interviews. Duh

Will derm interview invites be offered on Thursday 11/7/19 following a silent Wednesday (1 derm rejection)? Yes: 2 No: 0 Programs: WashU (regular), Stanford, Minnesota Actual: Recap of Wednesday 11/6/19 Invites: 0 Rejections: 1 (U of Rochester) TY/Prelim released today (2): U Pitt (Prelim and TY), Brockton (TY) Derm interviews released since Monday (12 first time offers, 1 research track, 1 second wave): U New Mexico, U Arkansas, Oklahoma, Eastern Virginia, Howard, NYU, Mississippi, Medical College of Wisconsin, Georgetown, Wash U (Research), Henry Ford, George Washington, St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and Cooper (2nd wave) TY/Prelim released this week: UVA (Prelim), U Pitt (Prelim and TY) and Brockton (TY) As of 8:40 EST: 63% of derm programs have not sent out interviews and a sum total of ~171/447 (38%) derm spots have been offered interviews. What's the point? IT IS EARLY and the overwhelming majority of spots have not been offered interviews yet AND even the ones that have been offered may not have offered for all their spots. On this equivalent day (i.e. first Wednesday of the month) last year: 1 interview went out (George Washington University, which came out yesterday for us). On tomorrow’s equivalent day (i.e. first Thursday of November) last years: 6 derm interviews went out and 1 med/derm interview! (Wayne State, U Minnesota, Dartmouth, Columbia, Virginia Tech, Southern Illinois and Washington MedDerm) Looking ahead: This week last year was a busy week for interviews with 16 being released in total! Goodnight everyone! -SD
<< This is a long post with some relevant data in addition to your predictions. Hope you all find this useful and have a goodnight! -SD << You're #1 in my heart. Thanks SD <3 x7 <<< SheetDaddy fan here, but I think if the posts were smaller, more morsels/highlights, like the first program prediction/tally template - we'd probably get most people on board. On mobile a post like this to the left takes up entire screen
<-- Download the "Calm" App. << why? << because this is neurotic! << Chill out bro, don't read it if you don't like it instead of being negative. Maybe you should spend your time using the "calm" app instead of being up everyones ass x6 << this actually is pretty neurotic, and I don't think saying something is neurotic should invite such a volatile response. Like damn this whole SD shit is becoming cult-like and stupid.
Hey SD--how many interviews do you have? x2
