No, they attached a sheet with hotel rates too
Which Derm programs offer free hotel? Henry Ford, Mayo-Rochester, Mayo-AZ... others? Penn State, I'm there this week.
Nice
Geisinger pays fo hotel as well
Mayo-Jacksonville too
Southern Illinois university as well
the system is trickle, gimme dem invites! but seriously i dont know why schools do this, i guess its their way of filtering out even more candidates...<<i guess but then they miss out on some really great applicants that might have gone there. for example, i literally couldnt choose between two schools on those dates, so i just went with the more convenient flight option. Not because i liked one school more than the other....who knows if i would have been a better fit for the other school
man i feel for you, im not saying its right or anything.
I feel for UConn and Maryland internals/rotators. Only given 1 date << can you imagine if you rotated at both, and then had to pick between invites at JHU, UCSF, Northwestern, UC-Davis, UMiami, Mayo-AZ?<<that was me, i had to pick between ucsf, northwestern, mayo AZ, Davis, and hopkins <goals x3
i would love to have those problems
I hate the overlap especially since I have had to pick even though I only have 5 invites. However, with people going to 15+ or 20+ interviews, I'm glad they do this to force a little trickle. << problem is for some of us we already got rejected from these programs, so even if the spots are now open...it won't be to us :(
As someone with far more rejections than invites, we have to accept that those were not for us.
Congrats! x3
thoughts on this program?
interviewed here last year and loved it! Great program in a great location, the biggest drawback is that it's a small ;dept and only 2 res per year
awesome thank you! how does this Mayo Clinic site compare to the Rochester one in terms of resources, research, pathology and future job prospects (academic and private)
didn’t interview at Rochester but it’s for sure not as much of a powerhouse. They do have good faculty and research, lots of support for research and access to Mayo patient databases in the entire Mayo system including Rochester; lots of admin support for research as well, like someone can write and submit your IRB stuff etc. as far as I remember
That's awesome! Are you guys internal or rotators by chance?<<nope, external no ties x3 << mayo-AZ doesn't have internals...
LOL I'm an idiot << Well, they do, but not for this cycle. I think their med school opened last year.
Yo anyone made contact about the hotel reservation?
Johns Hopkins and Penn are both overdue for interview invites this year. Hopefully, Vanderbilt sends its regular ones out today << Mayo AZ is also pretty overdue << Also, to the neurotics among us, just know that Penn, Vanderbilt, and Johns Hopkins have historically sent out their invitations in batches
Penn's website says by 11/25
<Hopkins and penn - both of these places so far out of my reach it doesn't affect me << Try not to feel this way. I was on 0 for a long time and got 2 interviews at top 10 programs. My app is so regular that I assumed it was a mistake. The point is, you never know and no program is a reach.
<haha, Mt. Sinai practically sends after Christmas, but I like the wishful thinking!
12/6 in 2017, but yes, probs too early.
Mayo Arizona is out
I have Mayo Arizona and UCLA scheduled for the same day. Thoughts on which I should drop?
Long shot but anyone considering dropping Mayo AZ? I know it's the same day as UCLA!
Mayo Arizona interview!x5
Congrats! X3
can u provide stats? Any ties to arizona??| no ties, Step 1 250s, Step 2 260s x2
Is Mayo Arizona a 2 day interview?
Is Florida State U a 2 day interview?
Is Utah a 2 day interview?
Is Dell a 2 day interview?
Can we get a list of 2 day interviews?
Yes, Utah is a 2 day interview, they mention it on their website. The others, I am not sure. Anyone?
Florida state is a single day interview
thanks!
Mayo Arizona interview invite for 1/10/18
Saturday Night Musings: Loyola vs Mayo Arizona, WWYD?!
Mayo Arizona vs Loma Linda vs SLU (no ties to any of these places)

feel like invites are long overdue for them << instead of factoring it on last year's contact dates, a better predictor has been when the interview dates are coming up. both hopkins & mayo-AZ are in January <thank you, that's helpful to consider :)
