yes it's a shitty situation, but what can you do. People will just do what they want and not think of the consequences. If he doesn't realize that PDs talk to each other, it's his issue. Just hope karma comes back

In what way am I "manipulating" the interviews? I was invited to these programs because I have a strong application. Interview invitations are precious in dermatology and I'm choosing to hold on to mine. You can talk big all you want but you would all be doing the same thing if you were in my shoes

Yeah I'm not sure this is a big deal. I'm pretty sure at my program they do not always even try to fill cancelled interview slots

Just wanted to mention that most places do have some sort of waitlist. If cancelled early enough, places will fill the slots. Please do not assume otherwise.

THE PERSON ABOVE IS PRETENDING TO BE ME, I CANCELED MY PSU INTERVIEW LAST WEEK AND DID NOT UPDATE THE SPREADSHEET BC I FORGOT ABOUT IT, PSU HAS ALREADY INVITED SOMEONE ELSE. I would never talk like this person and I am very upset that they are trying to make me seem like a bad person.
