Big name PI reached out for me! <- how helpful is it to have "Big name PI" reach out for you? < Incredibly. I got interviews at good programs I otherwise wouldn't have. On my interviews, no one talked about ANY of my other LOR besides my PI's. Pretty much you can go two routes (or a combination), younger more hungry PIs that are looking to pump out pubs, or more well known senior PIs that that carry you with connections and LOR (assuming they really like you). Tufts or HF? In terms of prestige < In terms of perceived prestige by name only, I'd go with Tufts. Having Harvard and BU Derm close by in Boston helps if you're considering fellowship as they feed off each other in terms of taking people they know.
