for prelims, do we think they'll send out more invites if they already sent invites out? Like for exmaple medstar sent out interview invites a few weeks ago, should we expect to receive an invite at this point or nah? Sorry if this was already answered!

GWU vs Georgetown for an away rotation, thoughts?

🌶 question: where did you rank LAST and why < MedStar; several interviewers seemed very disinterested and tbh the program seemed like it was very demanding, plus the whole probation bit

Anyone do an away at georgetown or george washington? How was it? interested to know, both seem very low yield with regards to # of seats < and Howard? it seems like they usually take their own students...< I rotated at GW.. would not recommend. < why?

gw has research fellows, georgetown doesnt < did you do an away rotation at either institution??? >> would it be worth doing an away at Georgetown, I cant find much info on it in the spreadsheets. < Georgetown wasn't accepting any away rotators this past year as there were many (~12) home students. Wouldn't recommend an away at Georgetown in general as there are not very many spots (~2, usually 2 this year there were 3) and usually the spots don't go to home students or away rotators.

Is the UCLA medstar program only available for MD/PhDs? < https://www.uclahealth.org/dermatology/residency-program: "The STAR program provides physician-scientists entering our program with combined M.D./Ph.D. degrees a comprehensive clinical training integrated with a post-doctoral opportunity." In the Derm residency program itself, it seems to be the case, yes.

Does anyone know why MedStar has "Continued Accrediation with Warning" for the past 2 years. On Janaury 6, 2022 they recieved "continued accrediation with warning". Is this a red flag? Concerned about ranking them high < https://apps.acgme.org/ads/Public/Programs/Search < why did a resident leave the program recently?

For Georgetown Med star derm program, do we have to rank internal medicine prelims to match the program? The website is a little confusing and on the applicant page it says you need to do an internal medicine preliminary but it wasn't mentioned on interviews and on the main page of the residency program they said any post graduate 1 year education is fine. I might just be over thinking this whole thing < current georgetown student, you can do a TY or prelim but like most derm programs they prefer a prelim year :)

anyone know why Medstar/Georgetown is under ACGME warning for probation? // The official term is "Continued Accreditation with Warning": Cook County Health and Hospitals System, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science (Rochester), MedStar Health/Washington Hospital Center, Tufts Medical Center, UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine/UCLA Medical Center, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Wayne State University School of Medicine. The only program that is on "Probationary Accreditation" is Rush University Medical Center.
