✅1. Incredibly well-prepared for its first cycle. Attendings were amazing, rest of staff were amazing, genuinely invested in mentoring students. Rotators got opportunities to get exposure in all aspects of dermatology. Work at a safety-net hospital, so great for those who want to work with an underserved population and not just bread-and-butter derm. Plenty of research options for those interested too.
Just found out that University of Kansas requires their own supplemental application by 11/15, waste of my money. Uhh.....<FUCK I WAS INTERESTED IN THEM < Yep, I felt f*cked as well and I am totally ok to be there (been to kansas city before and liked it) < can we check when this was added to the site bc i find it very hard to believe we all missed it < https://www.kumc.edu/school-of-medicine/academics/departments/internal-medicine/divisions/dermatology/dermatology-residency-program/application-information.html This is the website. No idea when it was added.
Top 10 slacker/chill programs? Heard Kansas was one of them < also heard kaiser la < I've heard good things about Kansas, you can make it as Cush or as challenging as you want < I heard it was so Kush the resi class at a neighborning program started complaining about how they also wanted it cush.
I know at least 104 other friends that ranked KCUMB-GME Consortium #1 with me / y'all are the worst sometimes // thank you to whoever fixed it

Yeah can we please stop being so uncool now that ranks are in and any of your motivations to be a troll are gone! honestly, it's probably not us. more likely to be the program itself...<why would they even care, I'm sure they have more important things to do

<hilarious how there are 20 more 1st ranks than 2nd and 3rd. I guess its all those people that only got one interview and it happened to be Stanfrod, Harvard or another top program. smh. I'm losing faith in my future colleagues...

I highly doubt that. People are probably just not filling in their top 2 and 3 bc they're mostly concerned with getting their number 1. I initially only filled out 1 and 2 out of laziness. Not sure if your comment was a joke or not... but most of those people have more than 3 interviews. <it was sarcasm

< I tried to creep and I think last year they had 2 invite dates in december, I'm wondering if that might mean they had those 2 in addition to the internal date in late october, so maybe they would have another date to release invites!!!
