can we please make a shit list for ppl we hated during our application journey? toxic attendings, residents, and "co-authors" included
Two certain Harvard PIs who employ an army of research fellows and leave them hanging, also they play favorites...
weird Case resident that made tiktoks talking shit about the rotating med students
name and shame!!
not OP but sounds like Vinod Naubidiri or Steven Chen
Was this a PGY3??> lol i wish i could shame one place so much but it's too small >:( i think i've done enough shaming to the right people though
Someone drop the tea on Case lol they matched only home students
not OP but sounds like Vinod Naubidiri or Steven Chen >> Adena Rosenblatt at UChicago is a damn weirdo, and she has a passive aggressive MA that is rude to all the medical students.
super rude PGY3 at USC Derm I hated working with her

how do Nambudiri and Chen play favorites?
yesss harvard is super bad institution nobody apply yall
Harvard RYs have good match though, why not apply? I see RYs who did research with Chen matched Harvard... like?
sounds like some salty people here this year
every year there are, always happens after match :P
i can't edit my comment but was being sarcastic w/ the nobody apply comment. the OP sounds a bit salty - not trying to invalidate the stress of RYs especially at a top institution that attracts great students
super rude PGY3 I hated working with her
Agree some oft the PGY3s at Case are so toxic
was the stanford resident a pgy-2?
case residents are so fake
Thots on cock county?
not the best place culture wise, longer hours than the rest of the chicago derm programs (Rush, UIC), lack of funds/resources, complex patients with poor medication adherence as it is a safety net hospital, uses antiquated Cerner, on-and-off probation w/ high faculty turnover, genuinely dreary vibes. The cafeteria food is average but there is a pretty close food center across a major road (w/ chipotle, starbucks, pita pita, 5-guys, buffalo wild wings, panda express, auntie annes, and carvel). The good: Chicago, there is a fro-yo spot in the main lobby of the part of the building the derm clinic is in, high patient volume, famous german dermatopathology attending.
froyo in the main lobby... I fear I'd never be skinny again
cerner is fire shut yo mouth
heard they DO NOT have long hours, but the exact opposite, not enough patient volume and work a lot of half days because of it (just what I've heard tho)
Uchicago interview experience 10/10 except for the 15 interview rooms.
I had it this week as well and honestly thought the vibes were a lil tired / quiet, more of like a 6-7/10
I thought it impressed me too! Made me up them on my ROL

For UChicago, did they go over their actual curriculum during the interview day? Their website is very unhelpful and looks outdated by at least a few years
how did the interview feel?
i was burnt at the end. it was really long but everyone was nice
they go over it
nebraska 13 interview rooms is crazy
uchicago 15 today
i've done some with 14-16 and it's insaneee
did anyone else get that Uchicago prelim email? are they not having prelims this year?
yeah did anyone get an interview for prelim?? not sure if they already sent out ii to prelims or they're just not taking any
i got it too >> Do you know what it means
Has UChicago IM Prelim (not Northshore) released interviews yet?
I got UChicago II this afternoon - I think there was an earlier release for internals and rotators
when did you rotate?
in September> Looks like some people that were neither got interviews, RIP
disagree. both reported were home and away, what makes you say this?> In the interview offers tab, they say "neither" to "home or away?"
i think you're looking at UIC>Whoops, you're right
Urgent: Should I take an away at UChicago or Northwestern? Northwestern is the better program
general thoughts about UChicago?
UChicago vs Northwestern for an away?
see right, but whichever one you'd want to match at and think your app is competitive for IV
Northwestern i've heard is a rotation mill
UChicago seems like a pretty workhorse program, only 3 residents per year so I'm sure inpatient is a bit of a nightmare>> Neither. Northwestern is rotation mill and UChicago's PD is weirdo / their away to II rate is low af

thoughts on UChicago?
For UChicago, is it weird to do a 2 week rotation vs 4 weeks given they offer the rotation in 2 week increments, but you can apply to 2 to make it a 4 week on VSLO? I know weird.
If they offer it in 2 I would think it's fine to just do that
If anyone who matched at UChicago this year sees this, did you do an away and/or gold signal?
not me but I know 1 of the ppl who matched there and they did an away and gold signaled
Does anyone know how many spots U Chicago is offering this year? I can't remember if it's 3 or 4.

catty resident at Stanford who treated me like sh** during my away and then was fake af during my interview
