i can't edit my comment but was being sarcastic w/ the nobody apply comment. the OP sounds a bit salty - not trying to invalidate the stress of RYs especially at a top institution that attracts great students

not the best place culture wise, longer hours than the rest of the chicago derm programs (Rush, UIC), lack of funds/resources, complex patients with poor medication adherence as it is a safety net hospital, uses antiquated Cerner, on-and-off probation w/ high faculty turnover, genuinely dreary vibes. The cafeteria food is average but there is a pretty close food center across a major road (w/ chipotle, starbucks, pita pita, 5-guys, buffalo wild wings, panda express, auntie annes, and carvel). The good: Chicago, there is a fro-yo spot in the main lobby of the part of the building the derm clinic is in, high patient volume, famous german dermatopathology attending.

heard they DO NOT have long hours, but the exact opposite, not enough patient volume and work a lot of half days because of it (just what I've heard tho)

I had it this week as well and honestly thought the vibes were a lil tired / quiet, more of like a 6-7/10

I thought it impressed me too! Made me up them on my ROL

UChicago seems like a pretty workhorse program, only 3 residents per year so I'm sure inpatient is a bit of a nightmare>> Neither. Northwestern is rotation mill and UChicago's PD is weirdo / their away to II rate is low af

If they offer it in 2 I would think it's fine to just do that
