Putting derm aside, are Uchicago and NW IM prelim still going to give out interview invites? They have been v quiet. x2

Did anyone get email rejections from U of Chicago or UCSF? I wonder if programs are just too lazy to send out rejections? 😅 < I have not.

Did any away rotators get II from UChicago-Pritzker?

According to the spreadsheet, GWU, Einstein and UChicago still havent released aways? Anyone else waiting on one of them or have heard anything?

Anyone do a rotation at Uchicago? How was it? I did one. They had four rotators at the same time as me. I spent a month there, mornings clinic with different providers usually had derm path in the afternoons. Interviewed during the rotation. It was alright. They took a prelim and ry this year.

Can any home students or rotators comment on U Chicago? What's the environment like? Do the residents seem to like it there? I've heard mixed reviews from people who knew the program 10 years ago when it had a different chair, so i wanted to know if it has changed < I'm assuming you're talking about Dr. Shea when he was Section Chief (since Derm is a division of Internal Medicine) at U Chicago Pritzker. Yup, you'd be correct about how it was around that time. A lot of home students at Pritzker at that time (have no idea now w/Pritzker students) as much as possible tried to match somewhere else for Derm because of him, although obviously one can't be too picky with programs in terms of matching into this specialty since Derm is Derm. < TY - this matches what I heard. Is the culture better now? < I mean even right now on their Derm resident page, only ONE of the derm residents is from U Chicago-Pritzker: https://dermed.uchicago.edu/people/ < New PD and Section Chief started recently (2019?), so that would have little to no impact on current residents (ie they just started as current residents were applying)

List of programs where residents are overworked? < NYU < Miami <UChicago < Northwestern U < UTSW < Harvard << is utsw still that bad? <UT Houston < is UChicago still bad? Heard it changed after most of the faculty changed < is miami as bad as people say < Residency explorer from 2020 said 60 hr/ week for UChicago

It's in the cushiest part of Chicago. The rent is like SF levels in Streeterville and the most basic grocery store is a Whole Foods. < People must be mixing up Northwestern and U Chicago, very different areas < lol we are not mixing anything up. We know NW itself is in a boujie part of town but people will have lives outside the immediate NW area< outside the NW area is fine, stay away from the southside and westside (not including south loop or west loop)

Whoever keeps deleting shit about derm learning resources must have seriously been hurt by one of these companies lmao < Yeah, I don't know why. I mean I didn't think it was a big deal.
