Do places like mayo consider all locations as home students for fellowships? Only Mayo MN has fellowship programs, and for example they matched 3/3 Mohs there including 1 from AZ..

1 entry❌1. You have to be one of Mangolds fellows to match here. It is a waste of 1 of 28 applications otherwise. The match history of the last however many years speaks for itself, but a current attending at Mayo AZ said to me (slight paraphrasing) “you just have to do what he says for a year and they’ll take you.”

Are Mayo AZ and Mayo FL considered top programs? I am planning away applications and have heard they still have significant Mayo backing/resources... Both are top15 on doximity also! < WAKE UP SHEEPLE! Doximity ranking literally don't mean anything. Why would you base your professional decisions on something so asinine
anyone from mayo remember if you were considered for the prelim outside of the specific catagorical spot? < I don't think so - I asked and you would have to have interviewed with the IM program separately, I believe.
Does anyone know anything about Mayo's IM prelim year? Is it rough?
Mayo (MN) vs. Case Western
Am I crazy to rank Harbor over Mayo cuz of location? < nope location is a big factor playing into happiness. plus mayo is overrated imo < you are. harbor felt like a struggling program to me before even the probation and spot drop. how happy will you be when you become orphaned because your program collapsed
Did Mayo do an additional medicine interview for applicants to the categorical program? or were we automatically considered for the advanced and categoricals with the derm interview alone? < no interview- just rank as you prefer! (I asked) < Thank uuuuuuu < also, they said you can rank both and it won't affect your chances of matching
Need interview impressions for: case western metro health, oklahoma, Mayo Arizona and jacksonville, honors,Columbia, Lehigh, Loyola, LSU, KCU, USF, UT medical branch and San Antonio, Temple University, WVU <excuse me, who are you? < lol my first thought was WTF. who are you demanding stuff from but then I realized that they aren't actually saying they need these, just that we as a sheet still need these as they haven't been filled out lol
anyone who interviewed at mayo remember what they said about ranking research vs catagorical vs advanced? can we rank all or just one?
Did Mayo Rochester finish interviewing?
Thoughts on mayo AZ?
I would like to hear your thoughts on Mayo Clinic. Seems like an excellent program, but super formal.< horrible weather < you get used to it tbh < residents said they wear them like 50% or so of time and not too bad < When I interviewed it didn't seem very formal. but winter weather is not ideal, suits are now 50%. They added an academic half day + ancillary services are second to none. Really strong program and def ranking it higher now
Speaking of long interviews, mayo florida seems to have quite a long day planned. lowkey scared i'd be worn out < oh shit how long <maybe 6? i could be reading it wrong tho
How do you prep for places that do behavioral interviews like Mayo?
Does anyone know how to RSVP for the Mayo Rochester social?
