Anyone know when Mississippi is releasing?
Confirmed virtual : UC Davis, UCLA-harbor, UCSD, Penn State
Has anyone doing the Penn State away heard anything? I accepted months ago through VSLO, but never got a real confirmation, or was told to pay a deposit, or received any sort of onboarding/approval instructions? Not sure if my away is actually happening (oct dates)
Same here for a similar rotation date! Literally no confirmation or anything whatseoever, I check VSLO at least once a week to make sure I am not imagining it lol
you can email them but you will probably not get any information until the week before lol
same experience and had the same panic/fear. certianly reach out if you need help with housing during the rotation, but otherwise, i imagine they'll send more information closer to your rotation dates (I will also be there Oct/Nov)

when did you apply and when did you hear back? i know they moved up the due date due to the surplus of apps...
I applied & have not heard back
applied Jun 17 heard back Jun 23 (im the one who said denied bc rolling admission)
did you get it?
they just sent an email saying decisions will be released on July 18! Best of luck to everyone who applied!
What does someone do during a virtual away?
got offered penn state october and am looking for june/july if anyone wants to switch
did they release June rotation dates yet?
Anyone know if Penn State is offering aways this year??
not sure, we have 5 internal students applying derm this year, at least 2 of us are going to be done with our home rotations by early summer, so I imagine there should be room (I believe we can accommodate up to 4 per month)> they are, the application just posted, i had to email them about it since it seems they forgot to post it
Anyone have thoughts on Penn state derm
current student here. Everyone is super chill, current PD is a DO, we have 3 Mohs surgeons you do a week with. Resident didactics are every weekday @7:45 am, attendings and residents are super willing to let you help with biopsies and such. again, we have 5 home students this year, and we tend to match about half home students, with the occasional 4 out of 5 residents being home students
I think 6 home students this year
PGY2 here: No matter if you end up at Penn or Penn State for dermatology, you will still be a dermatologist!
Did Penn State give anyone a choice of dates when scheduling? They just assigned me a date
Is there no sign up requried for penn state?
Anyone external get Penn State
When Will Penn State release their offers?! I sent them an email and no response
looking @ Penn match list it really is an uppity and provincial program. Still don't know what makes it stand out at all tbh even after interviewing there
nothing lol < like truly no spark lol or enthusiasm about the program and it's rich that it has a 'good name' when it's literally confused with penn state all the time < also their pd SUCKS lol < really? their PD seems like an incredible person < thought so too
Can anyone who IV'd at Penn State provide overall impression of the interview? Going through family crisis and finding it hard to focus on interview prep. Just want to know what to expect < sorry for the family crisis - that's so difficult at any time, but can't imagine going through it right now.
anyone here know how spots are allocated per program? i dont understand how gwu can have only 2 spots in a place like DC and then places like Penn state have like 4
Since Penn State sent out acceptances and rejections but I haven't received either, what does this mean?
