Anyone know if Penn State is offering aways this year??
not sure, we have 5 internal students applying derm this year, at least 2 of us are going to be done with our home rotations by early summer, so I imagine there should be room (I believe we can accommodate up to 4 per month)> they are, the application just posted, i had to email them about it since it seems they forgot to post it

Anyone have thoughts on Penn state derm
current student here. Everyone is super chill, current PD is a DO, we have 3 Mohs surgeons you do a week with. Resident didactics are every weekday @7:45 am, attendings and residents are super willing to let you help with biopsies and such. again, we have 5 home students this year, and we tend to match about half home students, with the occasional 4 out of 5 residents being home students

looking @ Penn match list it really is an uppity and provincial program. Still don't know what makes it stand out at all tbh even after interviewing there
nothing lol < like truly no spark lol or enthusiasm about the program and it's rich that it has a 'good name' when it's literally confused with penn state all the time < also their pd SUCKS lol < really? their PD seems like an incredible person < thought so too

Can anyone who IV'd at Penn State provide overall impression of the interview? Going through family crisis and finding it hard to focus on interview prep. Just want to know what to expect < sorry for the family crisis - that's so difficult at any time, but can't imagine going through it right now.

anyone have insight into if pennsylvania programs other than Penn and UPMC take students outside of pennsylvania? seems like resident lists from programs like Jefferson, temple, and penn state are all from penn affiliated medical schools.
