Super sweet residents, they try really hard to make you feel welcome, the course coordinator and director are extremely responsive and invested in your experience, and they all write nice comments about you! Mostly working with residents and a few dedicated days with an attending 1:1 in clinic. Attendings you work with are also super kind.

MICHIGAN QUESTION: I thought the PD said that there is 4 weeks of cosmetic clinic and monthly sessions on cosmetics. Is that a good amount to feel adequate to do cosmetics as an attending? Is that a regular amount of cosmetics (or more) than most programs? I'm just confused why some say the program has "no cosmetics".> pd said "if you are looking for cosmetics, this is not the right program for you"

one year is training and the next year you are like a mini attending (you'll have support from faculty but can do cases on your own)

no it's not toxic lol I did away and yes they work hard and they mention that during my interviews but you'll learn so much
the attendings are nice and patient. So its not toxic in the fact that people treat you like shit.

yea similar experience everyone was personable and wanted to get to know me more. 10 mins went by so quickly. I really liked the resident room as well!>those residents are goated

looking at prev match lists it doesn't seem like it
there was someone from a med school in the midwest that matched there and you wouldn't know they had ties to CA unless you knew them, plus they didn't have much research so there defintely was a tie there
i think year before last they matched people from florida, new york, and michigan - but im not sure where those residents did undergrad etc
