Aren't there only like 20 programs, not sure if top 10 actually means anything. But Broward seems very well established for a DO program, and they were one of the first programs to merge well before the deadline. I would suspect some of the better DO programs were some of the first to go through the merger --> Broward isn't that great of a program. -- that may be true, but I don't know. I just used them as an example since they are already taking MDs and converted early.
DO program for a few years - just started taking MDs last year -- Broward is one of the most favorable MD programs of the previous DO residencies. They're already almost 50/50 and many DOs have said that they think it will be 100% MD within 5 years. They also transitioned way early on and have been accredited for a while now
Likelihood of them actually taking MDs rather than DOs? Have heard even though these programs are now accepting MDs, they still prefer DOs
I know an MD who matched last year <you can see the current residents on the website. they have 3 MDs and 5 DOs. seems they are taking more MDs now

Of these 25 programs, only a half dozen were included in the original Interview Invite tab below. --> I know several DO's that interviewed at Broward! it is techically a "former" osteopathic program, even if they are taking less DOs -- Have heard DO students saying that Broward is basically MD at this point. They weren't hopeful that Broward would have any DOs in like 5 years. <- I'm an MD who interviewed at Broward and it very much seemed like this
These DO programs are still DO. Unless you’re an MD who rotated or have a personal connection you have 0 chance. And I want my money back! - Broward and Orlando are exceptions <yes, not true. external/no ties, MD, interviewed at Broward
has anyone else heard whether the other Florida osteopathic programs (or other ostepathic programs outside of FL) actually give preference to DOs?
For those that heard from Broward, was it for the PGY-2 position in 2019 or 2020? I am assuming it was probably for both at the same time..

Still 60%! Not to mention some places have only released partially (Penn just internal, Michigan just research track, Case Western just DO, Broward just physician only, etc. etc.)

I got a non-physician interview and did not rotate there.
For anyone wondering about this program, it is a former DO program where the program director decided to take at least 1 MD and 2-3 DOs. Therfore, if you didn't get an interview it may have more to do with the letters after your name than your application itself.
