"Do you guys know of any derm PIs that have taken on (and maybe even funded) college students or post-bacc students in the past? << Usually any Dermatology department that has an extensive basic science lab will take you on. The calculation is different w/college students and post-bacc grad students since you're not applying for Derm residency. Case Western is a good option. << Paul Nghiem...i think?? the god of MCC and chair of u washington. does basic/translational clinical stuff and highly productive and well connected beyond his derm dept. these kinds of positions usually vary though depending on when investigators get funding and if they need to expand their lab/team etc i dont think theres some list of this for derm depts across the country people usually advertise when research spots open or through word of mouth"

For people with Case Western II - does anyone know how many satellite sites there are? video makes it sound like its 3 locations (UH, VA, regional) but the residents made it sound like there's more? < UH (University Hospitals) itself has several sites besides just the one in Cleveland next to Case Western's med school. < thank you! i've never been to Cleveland so trying to understand how much driving is involved. Is this list accurate of all the satellite sites (community hospitals)? https://www.uhhospitals.org/patients-and-visitors/getting-here
what prelims/tys do people recommend avoiding? time to rank and be done with it. i heard case western prelim is a no go - why a no go?
was the CWR interview really as bad as y'all are saying on the sheets? im scared
apparently case western prelim is brutal smh <bruhs why do a prelim I don't get it? Who cares if you have to move? <Yeah, DO NOT do prelim at Case or CCF. Look at Metro or Akron hospitals if you need to be in area< What's so horrific about case? <- overworked, not a ton of support for their interns. There are just so many other hospitals in CLE to do your intern year that would be easier. The caveat would be if you want a hardcord medicine intern year where you have a lot of responsibility, go to Case < what about UH? < UH is Case (at least in this context) < any thoughts on their TY?
