How can we tell if a program is eligible for PSLF? if they are categorized as not-for profit it counts right? < except HCA, most programs are qualified < so based on loan burden, academic salary vs pp salary in our area, it might be worth it to pursue PSLF? < Any derm people can do PSLF as long as they are working for academic teaching hosptitals for 10 years s/p graduation of medical school. It's up to you to decide what works for you. If you want to get rid of loan ASAP, then go to PP. If you are not in a rush then stay in academia < crying with a 300k loan burden with 5-8% interest rate ;-; < Inflation at 7% though. :) < ELI5 if salaries arent increasing why is inflation good ? or is the smiley face a sarcastic smiley. << Not sarcastic. If you have a fixed interest rate on your loans and the interest rate is < inflation rate. The debt burden is lower. Most programs adjust salary for inflation (at least partially).
this harbor ucla email though 🥲< spill < didn't interview there but i'm so curious why they decided to share but not give any details...? < also isn't rush also on probation but still taking 2? so harbor's issue might be serious?
Is there a Rush social tonight?
Are people sending thank you's to RUSH and how did you get emails?
Am I the only one who doesn't have a Rush interview schedule with faculty names ? < Sounds like they RUSH'd the schedule< the PD at this program seems out of touch. < impression from interview?
Is there a meet and greet for RUSH tomorrow (12/15)?
That awesome feeling when you know you just CRUSHED the interview at one of your top choices < congrats :)!<how do you know for sure though lol< congrats! < congrats!! so exciting to feel good after an interview. its a huge dopamine rush < yay amazing!! :) Congrats!! < Thanks everyone!!! You all are next :)
anyone know why Medstar/Georgetown is under ACGME warning for probation? // The official term is "Continued Accreditation with Warning": Cook County Health and Hospitals System, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science (Rochester), MedStar Health/Washington Hospital Center, Tufts Medical Center, UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine/UCLA Medical Center, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Wayne State University School of Medicine. The only program that is on "Probationary Accreditation" is Rush University Medical Center.
Some posts are shown because their comments mention this program.
I did get an automated invoice for the $100 charge later last week (on email)
thanks!
