Does anyone know if derm programs will be requesting our Step 2 scores?
According to last years thread UCSF, Cleveland Clinic, and SUNY downstate request Step2CK scores prior to ranking| are you guys not releasing your step 2 to porgrams?

what do people think about ck? should we be releasing scores? im trying to put taking mine off as long as possible but idk if thats a bad idea.| Also very curious about this. Can anyone who previously applied comment on if the score matters at this point?
Spoke with a program director today at a top 20 program and he said that most programs like to see at least consistency with CK scores from Step 1, if not improvement. So yes, I'd imaging that they do matter. (Hi! To clarify - the top 20 PD I talked to was speaking in terms of who they invite to interview.)

Thanks. To clarify, he said this for the purpose of inviting for interviews (i.e score available now) or for creating a rank list (i.e. score becomes available in January)?

I've talked to a lot of different residents and applicants from last year on this issue, and the consensus seems to be that certain programs (UCSF, Downstate, etc) will ask for your score prior to rank (not prior to interview), but for the most part, CK is still less of a factor for dermatology.

Scheduled to take step2 late and the results might not be in time for rank lists ... anyone have experience with matching without having those scores in? (Seems like a few places like UCSF require it but most don't say anything one way or the other about having these prior to rank lists)
my school told me that i needed CS and CK in before rank list for derm. idk why so i took it. the only school saying they require it absoluetly before rank list i think is stonybrook, downstate, and ucsf. you may still get asked about it at interviews by other places though. can't you just move up your test dates?

Does anyone know how many interview days SUNY Downstate (Brooklyn) has? On the calendar it says (1/1) but my friend just got an interview for a different day. Are they still giving out interview invites?

2 derm spots went to Ross grads, has that happened before?
I have seen IMGs matched before but usually they are from top schools like European schools, Aga Khan, or Sackler (going to a NY school) and they usually have done research fellowships. it's not surprising at all (given they did research fellowships). If they got in without one, that would be surprising

To be fair, one was a research fellow for 2 years, so will effectively have completed 3 years. Don't know about GWU though, but isn't that like a new program?
