Fame & Shame
2025–2026 Derm
2 entries❌1. Interview day was brutal and inefficient. 14 (!!) 8-minute interviews back-to-back with little break in-between. Program coordinator was super nice but disorganized and we ended up finishing almost an hour over time. Interviewers were super distant, most of them barely smiled when they met me, and seemed bored/uninterested the whole time.
❌1. Toxic program. They have a strong preference and priority for Case Western students, matching 5 out of 7 of their seats to their own students. They historically had separate allopathic and osteopathic spots but recently eliminated the reservation of the osteopathic seats and used those spots to match their own students.

when was metrohealth released, eras or email?
Why is MetroHealth still greened on the Interview Invite spreadsheet if the invites haven't been sent out?
Case Western Invite: Dates 1/25 and 2/1 AM and PM Slots
^ this is metrohealth/case western reserve university should have clarified
Anyone have thoughts on UH/Case Western vs Cleveland Clinic?
Why does University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (Formally Case Western) new a have name and do they have 2 or 4 slots? why is it duplicated on the interviews spreadsheet - i see "MetroHealth Medical Center/Case Western" AND "University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (Formally Case Western)" are they separate?
ok thanks
2 spots for DOs and 4 spots for MDs at UH.
Ugh. Case Western. Why. x3
I don't understand this questionnaire - there are like 2-3 core rotations in my school that are not explicitly mentioned in the list...
Any ideas how to fill out this questionnaire if rotations are graded by A/A-/B+ etc instead of honors/high pass? Is an A- a HP or honors?
I think A- is equivalent to HP. It says "HP or 2nd highest grade". x3
Can't they just look at our application. They've had had our transcripts and AOA status for over a month.
Maybe because ERAS just went down yesterday and they did not do their due diligence somehow?
Case Western Invite (DO)
Is there a separate DO program?
There is a combined MD/DO program. There are 2 DO spots and 4 MD spots
Congrats on the invite! Any MD's receive invites/ are these separate tracks lol or just all together? Did they specify this wave was just for DO applicants?
Still confused if the invites were DO only or both MD/DO
If you look on the interview page, the invite was for an external DO
Additionally, the residents train in the exact same program. Congrats to all that received interviews!
Stanford invite!!! Holy crap. Through ERAS - 1/12/18.
andddddddddd... cue the delusional outrage.
Congrats! x1
Internal or external?
Internal
External x2
hmmm stanford doesn't traditionally use ERAS for invites
The email was through ERAS but there was no ERAS scheduling (since there's only 1 date)
the denial is apparently still alive and well here
But... but... It's November, which is the 11th month of the year, and 1=2, where the 2nd letter in Stanford is "t," meaning that Stanford gives out invites on Tuesdays. IT'S A TROLL, EVERYBODY!
Stanford typically does internals on separate date - not this year?
Stanford didn't release anything lol
are you sure, how do you know? Was this the troll too? I was wondering ... MODERATORS: any news on whether this stanford thing was a troll or not?
Please don't let this turn into a UCSF-style debacle. I got an interview - you can choose to believe it or not. I love how no one questions Case Western, Vandy, or Minnesota.
Thanks! I believe you, was just confused by all these unhelpful comments. Do you mind telling me if you're external or an internal student/away rotator? I really appreciate it.
No problem, external with ties to CA I thanks!!
This is the most stressed out I have been... ever. x4
there's still 60% of programs that are waiting to send out invites. hang in there!
Still 60%! Not to mention some places have only released partially (Penn just internal, Michigan just research track, Case Western just DO, Broward just physician only, etc. etc.)
Anyone get a Duke diversity invite or Case Western (non-DO)?
Has anyone gotten an interview at the University of Michigan? (aside from the research track reported on the interview tab)
They haven't released regular invites yet last I heard. On a similar vein, anyone get Duke Diversity or Case Western (non-DO)?
