thoughts on ucsd academic quality of program?

san diego, anyone know much about the academic quality? < in terms of didactics? < didactics, also clinical research mentorship opportunties?

Why are so many people sleeping on the UC SoCal beach programs (UCLA, UCI, UCSD)? Great training + QoL (perfect weather, 5 - 15 mins from the beach) + you can tap into the alumni network for PP right after.

how long was the ucsd interview day?

Having to sit through a 2+ hour presentation from UCSD this morning about their program and how its literally identical to every other derm program is...>ah word, def was long,but i kinda appreciated that they went through the nuts and bolts; also they have way more surgical/laser stuff then other programs ive seen

UCSD vs Hopkins? Location is not the factor here (hence the difficult decision), more about the program, faculty and culture < use the X vs Y tab < this person did, but no one is answering it on that tab (not OP, but I noticed it earlier and couldn't answer) <OP: thank you for having my back lol

The way UCSD has told us nothing about its program before interviewing us :( < heard they're overworked < i think it's an institution thing, many departments at ucsd are known to be overworked

on the topic of salaries, ucsd salary just went up lol

I only received an email with a link to the breakout session < do you mind sharing the breakout session link? signed up but they never sent <I think they will announce it at the end of the webinar as well < what's the link to the main webinar? < It comes with your registration email, sent maybe around 3 wks ago (each link seems to be individualized), <guys what San Diego breakout session? Is this something we can still sign up for? < LOL that was the funniest breakout session. Everyone was just dead quiet when people were asked what questions people had about UCSD (which was the whole point of the breakout sessions). Like maybe 20% of people actually asked questions

This question goes back to right after applications were due - did everyone who applied to UCSD get the invite for the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion virtual open house (Oct 1)? I figured it went to everyone, but wasn't sure
