Does ucla really not have a single black resident? Do they even have any black faculty?? My bad, I assumed but I mean its LA???????!!!!! < they have a PGY1, so next year they'll have 1. Still no black faculty. < Just because they have no "black" faculty doesnt mean the faculty isnt diverse, they have one of the most diverse faculty in the country < This x10000. The idea that a program isn't diverse because it doesn't fit *your* idea of diversity is as racist as they come. Not to mention, what about diversity of background? Or diversity of thought? Age? Gender? Also, ever thought that the match just happened to not allocate X or Y ethnicities to any given program? Or that X or Y ethnicity just happened to not choose to rank at a given program for Z amount of years? Statistical disparity =/= Discrimination. Systemic inequities absolutely exisit, but these reaches are juevnile, laughable, and honestly offensive to physicians at this program. < thanks for the lecture. my post was very specific and i didn't mention diversity. i specifically mentioned BLACK RESIDENTS/FACULTY. don't put words in my mouth, idk why youre so defensive. is your name ucla?
